Zoie

Zoie aka Baby Girl or Little One is a Bichon Frise and she was born March 7, 2006 in Canada. Zoie has been attending the Eastside location since she was six months old. Her favorite foods are dental chews, chicken and carrots. Her favorite toy is a squeaky stuffed animal that we will call “favorite toy.” Zoie loves to chase birds and squirrels and sleeping on anything that is soft. Zoie’s name came from a character on the television show “West Wing.” She is a definite Bichon, she wazes her paws when she is excited. She also likes to make noises and likes to sunbathe. Zoie was adopted from a breeder out of Canada

Charlie

Glow Charlie Glow is a spunky little Silky Terrier that has been attending daycare since he was around 16 weeks old. He was born in Vancouver, WA during October of 2008, making this scrappy kid a Scorpio. He loves peanut butter filled KONGS and his spider squeaky toy, but he doesn’t discriminate, if it squeaks, bounces or makes noise, he’s after it. Charlie is very mischievous and energetic, he loves playing with his buddies at daycare and when he’s in trouble, his mom calls him Charlie Marley. When he wants to go outside, he runs to the door and his Terrier side comes out. He begins biting and shaking his hanging bells from side to side as if he’s going to tear them apart, but once the door is open, he joyfully bounces out to the yard. Charlie was the last puppy in his litter to find a home, although his mom wasn’t looking for a puppy at that time, she saw his shiny little eyes and scruffy little face and her heart was stolen. He’s the best little puppy she ever had and he causes her to laugh every day.

Chloe

Miss Chloe is a quirky Coonhound that has been attending daycare since 2007. She was born around 2005 and like most shelter dogs, they aren’t exactly sure when or where. Chloe loves any type of wet food- canned, packaged it doesn’t matter, she loves it all! Her favorite toy is a red and white rope that is attached to her best friend Stella. She just loves chasing after Stella and the rope! Her mom would describe her as a stubborn girl and we’d have to agree. Every time Chloe is picked up from daycare, she runs the opposite way and hides under a play structure. The look on her face is priceless, it’s as if she’s saying “I’m not ready to go and you can’t make me”. When Chloe is feeling playful at home, she barks at the back door for her mama to come play with her. This gal is quite outspoken and knows what she wants and just how to get it!

Summer

Summer Lynn is a lovely Golden Retriever that has been attending daycare since 2007. She was born in Lynnwood, WA in September of 2006 making her a Virgo. Her favorite treat is cream cheese and her favorite toy is a big, deflated basketball. She’s a big softy that loves watching softball games to get more love and attention from the people around her. She’s a silly girl that blows bubbles while underwater and often lays on her back with all four feet in the air. This gal had a bit of a rough start, her breeder did not disclose important information and Summer ended up paralyzed in her hind leg and had to have surgery on her hips. Her parents had to keep her inactive for the first year of her life due to these issues. Luckily with a lot of TLC and physical therapy, she has made a nearly complete recovery. You’d never know this happy, bouncing girl wasn’t always able to run!

Sadie

Sami Sadie Sunshine” aka Sadie is a Boarder Collie/Lab mix. Sadie the Scorpio was born October 2007 in Yakima, WA. She has been attending the Eastside location since February 2009.Her favorite food is Ch-Hooves filled with liver treats! She loves her balls and knuckle bones. Her favorite activities are going to Doggy Daycare and the Dog Park! When Sadie was pictured on the Oregon Humane Society adoption page, everyone at her mom’s office fell in love with Sadie, and they all named her together before her mom ever went to see about adopting her. Sadie loves chasing her people sister’s cats and sneaking their food. She also loves to “get away” with getting something she shouldn’t have and then playing “Hide and Go Seek” with her family. This little girl has quite the story – on a cold night in Oct. ’07 she and a litter of 5 pups were left on the streets of Yakima, they were rescued by a Yakima Shelter. Then all the pups came down with parvo!! All but 2 died, Sadie and her brother were transferred to the Bellevue H.S. from the Yakima Shelter, and were scheduled to be put down because of the parvo. They were treated and put up for adoption with a clean bill of health. She was adopted, but too high maintenance for the first family who adopted her. She was returned and after a long wait, ended up at the Oregon H. S. Her mom was the first person to call on her, she told them her name is “Sami Sadie Sunshine” and she would be there to pick her up. She has been loved and adored ever since.

Maya

Maya aka “Payaya” is a lovely little Boston Terrier. She was in Oregon on August 15, 2005 making her a Leo. Maya has been attending the Eastside location since 2007. Maya’s favorite food is steamed broccoli, and who says kids won’t eat their veggies! Some can’t get enough of them. Maya loves to play with her squeaky toys, and is quite the socialite at daycare. One of Maya’s cute little habits is chasing bees and butterflies around the yard, but who knows what she would do with one if she actually caught one! Maya is actually a very gentle girl who loves her neck rubbed. Maya’s was adopted by her family when she was 7 months old, it took them 20 years to get a dog, and boy was she well worth the wait!

Indie

Indie is a Coton de Tulear, her family calls her “The Coton Topedo” when she runs around like a crazy lady. Indie was born in Vancouver on March 22, 2007 and has been attending the Eastside since 2008. Her favorite food is cheese and her favorite toys are socks. Indie loves meeting other dogs. She acquired her name from Indiana Jones and Indy 500. When Indie sleeps, she sometimes makes this funny loud computerized drip sound. At first, her family thought it was a notification for their computer until they realized it was actually their little Indie, blissfully dreaming away. A friend of the family has a Coton and when Indie’s mom saw him, she had to have one. They met with the breeder and waited several months for the litter expected in the spring. Indie crawled right up into moms shoulder when they went to pick out there puppy. So, they guess Indie chose them, and now they cannot imagine there family without her.

Katie

Katie-girl is a bumbling, but still dainty English Springer Spaniel that has been attending the daycare since 2008. She was born in August of 2008 making her a Leo. She’s a little wiggle butt that loves putting freeze-dried liver snacks and (much to her parents chagrin) goose poop in her belly. Katie-did’s favorite things to play with are squeaky or anything off limits such as underwear, socks and children’s toys. She’s a rough and tumble kind of gal that gets endless pleasure from playing and rolling in the mud. Katie-Kates has a very guilty conscience. Her body language gives her away and lets her family know she’s done something wrong before they’ve even discovered it! Katie started out life an accident, the owners of her birth mom discovered an accidental litter and which meant puppies needed homes. Her loving parents now had had Springers in the past and just couldn’t resist sweet little Katie face. Now that she’s becoming a big girl, they couldn’t be happier with the family dog they picked up when she was just 8 weeks old.

Roma

Roma is a funny little Whippet mix that has been attending daycare since 2008. She is also a shelter dog that was born sometime around February of 2007 in an unknown location. She loves to eat anything chewy and at home her favorite toy is her squeaky foot. She adores going to daycare and the dog park, especially since these activities involve a ride in the car. She’s a mama’s girl that is super sweet and extra affectionate. She passes time at home by hiding various items under her parents’ bed. Any time something is missing, they know it must be in their innocent little Romy’s stock pile. She is named after the Italian name for Rome, not the tomato. Before her parents were married, they had wanted a dog. After their honeymoon to Rome, they went to SW WA Humane Society and there was poor, skinny little Roma who badly needed a home. This little gal is extremely grateful and excellent at expressing it!
